Mohammed is an operations manager in the engineering and construction sector in Saudi Arabia, with 14 years of experience, 10 of them in management. He oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates teams and keeps projects on track in demanding, execution-driven settings. He built his career through hands-on experience rather than a traditional academic route.
Why global strategy
As his responsibilities grew, Mohammed saw that leading operations well takes more than execution. In the MBA in Global Strategy at Dominican University of California, he is working to:
- Deepen his grasp of business strategy and management
- Connect operational performance with long-term company objectives
- Build leadership skills for large, cross-functional projects
Meeting the challenge
Returning to formal study was hard at first. Mohammed is approaching it with discipline: he engages actively with course materials, takes part in discussions and asks for support whenever he needs it. Coursework in strategy, leadership and financial decision-making is helping him align operational planning with strategic priorities.
“My career was built on experience and execution. The MBA helped me add strategy, structure, and a global view to the way I lead operations.”
