Yousif is a senior maritime professional in Saudi Arabia's ports and logistics sector, with more than 30 years of experience, including 12 in management. He has overseen complex marine operations, technical systems and safety-critical infrastructure. Preparing to move from operational leadership into strategic management, he enrolled in the MBA in Global Strategy at Dominican University of California, with learning support from AreteUp.
Involved from day one
Shortly after enrolling, Yousif took part in the AreteUp Dubai hub opening and alumni activities, meeting fellow professionals, alumni and university partners. It gave him an early chance to:
- Connect with professionals across industries and regions
- Discuss global strategy, leadership and transformation
- Experience AreteUp's learning community beyond the virtual classroom
Why global strategy
The program is helping him link port operations and logistics with global trade, strengthen decisions where technology, infrastructure and strategy meet, and prepare for roles that need cross-functional and cross-border coordination.
“Joining the Dubai Hub activities right after enrollment made the MBA feel immediately real. It confirmed that AreteUp is not just about studying: it's about being part of a global leadership community from the start.”
